Exhibition games

  • Email other coaches in your division (If competitive have a couple games at similar level to determine good division for team)
  • Refs are paid cash after the game
  • Try to get the other team to host you if you host them (ice costs)

ToDo List

  • Chose a manager
  • Review the budget with the manager
  • Extra ice can be booked through the city:
    • All extra ice at CIH or CC (no last minute rate as per City) should be booked with Ice Scheduler Scheduler. Extra ice at other rinks are teams responsibility
    • City Calendar
    • If you get extra ice, make sure parents are in agreement (more for house league than competitive)
  • Inform parents of your goals for the season during the parent meeting
  • Assess players at the beginning, middle and end of season and illustrate how they can improve.
  • Report all Major, Game Misconducts, Gross Misconducts and Match penalties to OWHA disciplinary email. discipline@owha.on.ca
