BANQUET

The banquet committee is hard at work putting together our inaugural CRGHA banquet and would like to share a few details.  Please share the information with any team members who may not follow our Facebook page or the website.

When

The event will be held May 2, 2020 at the Bourget Community Centre; doors open at 3pm.

Price

All registered players will receive their meal free of charge.  Siblings, parents, grandparents, friends, etc. can purchase meal tickets through the team managers at a cost of $10 per child and $15 per adult.  Meal tickets are not required to attend the banquet, however, they are required if you would like to eat with the teams.

The meal will consist of pasta, salads, buns, desserts, coffee, tea, juice and water.  Additional soft drinks and alcohol will be available for purchase at the bar.

Follow the dinner and presentations the hall will remain open to celebrate the amazing 2019-2020 season.  Our Lightning teams represented us proudly and brought home lots of hardware which will be on display.  We will be playing music, turning on the party lights and having a good time.

AWARDS

We are also excited to announce some new annual traditions.

Midget Retirement Ceremony

All midget players who are completing their final year will be honoured at the banquet and receive a gift as a thank you for being part of our association.

Coach of the Year Award / Volunteer of the Year Award

The association would not function and grow without the continued efforts of coaches and volunteers.  To show our appreciation there will be 2 awards handed out.  Nominations can be entered below.

Coach of the Year – Coach of the Year will be handed out to a Head Coach or Assistant Coach within the CRGHA that has not only developed strong hockey skills within his/her team but has also taught teamwork and respect.  The recipient will be someone who goes above and beyond the general job description of a coach.  If you have a coach, you would like to nominate we encourage you to do so but to also include comments from your daughter and why she thinks this coach deserves recognition.

Volunteer of the Year – There are many roles within a team and the association besides coaches.  Trainers, managers, room moms, executive members, bake sale table attendants, etc. all provide a very important service to the association.  Some volunteers put in extra effort, extra time or impact our association in a special way.  Once again we ask the members of the CRGHA to nominate deserving volunteer. We thank each and every person who volunteers throughout the year.

Nominations are due by March 20, 2020.  The executive will review all applications and select the winners.  Multiple people can nominate the same person, this will only add to their support in winning the award.

Individual Lightning Awards

There will be 6 individual Lightning awards handed out to some of our Lightning players.  Coaches are to nominate players from their teams then a committee will review nominations and select the winners.

Additional details will be added as they become available.
